The Science
Sitting at the intersection of art & science we create music designed to positively impact health and wellbeing
Book a demoThe sound of science
Since the dawn of time, music has been recognized as both an art and a science. Ancient philosophers like Pythagoras explored the mathematical principles behind musical harmony, establishing the foundations of music theory. This understanding of music as a structured, organized system with its own internal logic is echoed in modern scientific research, which reveals the intricate ways music interacts with our brains and bodies. At Myndstream, we honor this duality.
Our Mission
Guided by scientific research and fueled by artistic passion, we create music to promote health and wellbeing. Through literature reviews and bespoke commissioned research, we bridge the gap between art and science, unlocking music’s therapeutic potential across diverse sectors—from spas and hospitality to hospitals, schools, and even in the comfort of your own home. We are pioneering a future where music plays a central role in fostering a healthier, happier existence for all.
Feature Highlight: In Pursuit of Wellness–Music for Neurodiversity
Myndstream, The Global Wellness Institute (GWI) and BBC StoryWorks joined forces to explore the profound impact of music on wellbeing in education, particularly with neurodivergent children.
‘Music for Neurodiversity’ formed part of the GWI’s series ‘In Pursuit of Wellness’, and it focuses on a pilot study held at the Junior Genius School in Ireland. The film was a Gold Award Winner for ‘Best Native Advertising Program D2C’ from Native Advertising Institute.
The pilot study sees Professor Adam Ocklefield, a music psychologist and professor at London’s University of Roehampton, and Freddie Moross, MD of Myndstream, learn how Myndstream’s music could help in educational environments.

Feature Highlight: SleepScore Labs
At Myndstream, we recognize the critical role quality sleep plays in overall health and well-being. To address the widespread challenge of sleep deprivation, we developed “Fast Asleep: Powered by Myndstream,” a music album designed to promote deeper, more restful sleep. In a collaborative research study with SleepScore Labs, “Fast Asleep” demonstrated significant improvements in both objective sleep quality, measured by SleepScore technology, and subjective sleep quality, based on participant feedback. The study, presented at the 17th World Sleep Congress, found that participants who listened to “Fast Asleep” experienced:
- A 15% reduction in nighttime awakenings
- Gained an average of 2.5 hours more deep sleep per month
- Reported a 23% increase in feeling rested upon waking.
These findings underscore our commitment to harnessing the therapeutic power of music, guided by scientific validation, to help individuals achieve better sleep and enhance their overall quality of life.
