Dr. Marlene Sotelo, BCBA-D, MT-BC, is the Executive Director of the Els for Autism Foundation®. She has been working with individuals of all ages with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disorders for 30 years. She is a board-certified music therapist, and doctoral level board-certified behaviour analyst.

Collaboration

Myndstream collaborated with Dr. Sotelo and composer Bernward Koch to create a twelve minute musical programme titled Rising Soul, aimed at individuals with autism and related disabilities in the workplace. Dr Sotelo explains the motivation behind the project as follows: “Throughout the workday, stressors can build up from deadlines, navigating social interactions, understanding expectations, and work overload. In addition, the effects of reduced sleep, strenuous personal relationships, and family stressors can trickle into your day. Rising Soul can provide an outlet for you to disconnect from feelings of anxiety and worry, and equip you to recharge.”
